| Match Observations: |
Kane/Ken
Shamrock -vs- Shawn Michaels/Bill Goldberg
Shawn Michaels and Bill Goldberg showed some
great teamwork as the match started, teaming up
and keeping Ken Shamrock in the ring. However
things changed dramatically as Kane Tombstoned
Bill Goldberg out on the concrete floor. Shawn
Michaels was, however, up to the challenge,
demonstrating some Sweet Chin Music on Ken
Shamrock, also on the concrete. As things evened
up, Chyna pulled down on the ropes, and instead
of Shamrock falling out, Shawn Michaels fell.
Shawn Michaels quickly gathered and tagged out to
Goldberg, who started to dominate Shamrock. When
Kane was tagged in, Goldberg backed off, and
after a short battle, Kane piledrived Goldberg.
He then picked him up and Chokeslammed him. And,
as expected, Tombstoned him, for a second time.
The match was over.
[Hell in a Cell] Hollywood Hogan -vs-
Rocky Maivia
Rocky Maivia came out to a sea of boo's and
"Rocky Sucks!" chants. He quickly took
his position and waited for his challenger. Bret
Hart's music started up, however it quickly
changed to electric guitars and out came
Hollywood Hogan. Hogan dominated early, as Maivia
was still shocked at Hogan coming out. However
things quickly changed and Rocky was on top of
the match. Hogan used all his experience and when
Rocky was unaware, Hogan strung together a couple
of moves, and after the Big Leg Drop, Hogan came
out on top. A clear upset.
[WWF Tag Team Titles] Diamond Dallas
Page/X-Pac -vs- The Outsiders
Diamond Dallas Page started with a huge BANG! He
dominated both Nash and Hall. After doing his
job, X-pac was tagged in, but was caught unaware
by Hall, who gained an edge. Nash was then tagged
in, and after clearly dominating, executed the
Jackknife Powerbomb. X-Pac kicked out just on
time, he managed to tag out to Diamond Dallas
Page. DDP came in and immediately put on the
chokehold. After 5 seconds, DDP was DQ'ed.
[Texas Death Match - Guest Referee:
Gerald Brisco] Bret Hart -vs- Steve Austin
Steve Austin came out with his typical pop, which
blew off the roof. The special guest referee
quickly came out, as Bret Hart took his position.
After things died down, Mr. McMahon was
introduced, however he didn't come out. He was
introduced again, but out walked Gerald Brisco in
a referee's outfit. Mr. McMahon then came out of
the crowd and ordered Austin to fight Hart.
Austin dominated early on, however his run was
halted when Mr. McMahon hit him with a chair. It
didn't seem to affect Austin, as he continued his
@ss whooping. Bret Hart slowly came back into the
fight and threw Austin out of the ring. Bret Hart
immediately started to dominated Austin as he
whipped him into the guardrails. Things looked
the same as Shotgun as Austin went for the
Stunner on the concrete, however Bret Hart
blocked it. After going back into the ring, Bret
Hart maintained his edge and it was time for the
Sharpshooter. Hart held the Sharpshooter for One
full minute as Austin just wouldn't give in. Hart
then caught Austin in a small package and had a
pinfall. Brisco started the ten count, he counted
fast and right on ten, Austin got up to his feet
to a huge pop. However Bret Hart caught him in a
small package once again. Hart got the pinfall.
Brisco started the Ten Count once again, this
time quicker than before, however this time,
Austin didn't get up.
[WWF European Title] Shawn Michaels -vs-
Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash started the title match off perfectly,
however HBK's speed soon came into play. HBK
counted and blocked many moves, and found himself
dominating. Momentum changed when Nash strung
together 14 moves. HBK was thrown out of the
ring, and Nash when straight for the Jackknife
Powerbomb, but Chyna managed to botch his move.
Nash continued to dominate and when they
re-entered the ring, Nash went for the Jackknife
once again. And once again it was botched, this
time HBK blocked it. Nash raised his fist and
went for the Chokeslam, it looked a sure fall but
HBK kicked out. Kevin Nash then went for the
Jackknife for the third time, and right on 3, HBK
kicked out. Eric Bischoff showed his frustration,
tripping HBK twice. When Michaels got up, it was
already too late. Kevin Nash applied the
Jackknife Powerbomb, and the first title changed
hands for the night.
[WWF Intercontinental Title] Bill
Goldberg -vs- Steve Austin
Goldberg started off by quickly spearing Austin
then attempting to Jackhammer him, however Austin
was going to give in. Austin quickly started to
gain his own momentum. Goldberg went for the
spear tackle again, but Austin had the Two Finger
Salute in response. Goldberg still had energy to
burn and threw Austin out of the ring. Austin was
getting killed outside and quickly went back into
the ring. Goldberg was still dominating and
applied to submission moves, which drained most
of Austin's energy, but as with Bret Hart, Austin
wouldn't give in. Goldberg was still in control
and Austin found himself kicking out on 3 after a
powerslam. The title looked to be staying with
Goldberg, but Austin had other plans. Once again,
they found themselves fighting outside of the
ring. Austin got his break when he busted
Goldberg wide open on the guardrails. As they
entered the ring, Austin executed a Bodyslam,
which was accompanied by the Two Finger Salute.
After a take down, Austin had Goldberg in an
inside cradle. Goldberg still had lots of energy
and kicked out on three. When he got up, he was
kicked in the gut, Austin executed the Stone Cold
Stunner to perfection. 1...2...3 - Austin won the
Intercontinental Title.
[WWF World Title] Kane -vs- Sting
Sting wanted revenge on Kane after their July
13th meeting. He quickly put on all the moves and
looked on top. Kane was thrown out of the ring,
however Sting was caught off guard and was
Tombstoned right on the concrete floor. Sting was
out cold, and to make things worse, Paul Bearer
kicked him in the face. Sting was still putting
on all the moves, but Kane simply stared into the
crowd. Both competitors found themselves out on
the floor once again. Kane was whipped around,
and when Paul Bearer distracted Sting, Kane
grabbed him and Tombstoned him once again on the
concrete. Sting looked gone, but as they entered
the ring, things quickly changed. Sting used his
speed to gain momentum, and after two Scorpion
Deathlocks, Sting was clearly on top. Sting went
for the Stinger Splash, but Kane stepped out of
the way. Kane caught Sting on the rebound and
executed the Tombstone. The fight was over, and
Kane was Champion over Sting once again.
As Kane left ring, still WWF World Champion,
an unknown music started playing. The arena went
silent, out walked Chris Benoit
and Bret Hart
from behind the curtain, both wearing authentic
'Hitman' jackets and gleaming Pink sunglasses.
The slowly walked down the ramp, behind them
followed Three Men.....The Screen Fades to Black. |
