Match] Steve Austin -vs- Hunter Hearst Helmsley The newly crowned Intercontinental Champion started proceedings by dominating Triple H. However, with the help of Chyna, Triple H slowly came back and look as though he was going to get the upset. Austin showed why he is IC Champ, by quickly gaining his edge back. Steve Austin threw Triple H out of the ring. After hitting him in the ringsteps and into the guardrails, Hunter Hearst Helmsley was counted out. Sting -vs- Kama Mustafa Sting started the match of as he always does, by dominating every aspect. However, some late moves allowed Kama Mustafa to claw his way back in. Kama did most of his damage outside of the ring, throwing Sting in every direction. However Sting was still in control and after two Scorpion Deathlocks, the fight was called off. [Submission Match] Chris Benoit -vs- Ken Shamrock Shamrock showed too much experience in this match, applying many submission moves, whilst Chris Benoit could only manage the one, The Crippler Crossface. Shamrock immediately went for the Boston Crab, which drained alot of Benoits energy. Ken Shamrock slowly got into a Rage and applied one move after another. First the Armlock Leglock, then the Full Nelson, for 1 minute. Chris Benoit was in agony, but there was no referee to ask him. Ken Shamrock then applied the Grapevine, and after 4 seconds of that, it was Benoits turn. Benoit applied the Crippler Crossface numerous times, which dramatically slowed down Shamrock. Then The Outsiders came out and nailed Ken Shamrock with a chair. However, Benoit was caught off guard and Ken Shamrock applied the Armbar Submission, not even Nash or Hall could help him, fight was over. |
